Considering Punjab is the richest Province in Pakistan and Punjab use to be the Richest Province in India before they divided it into HP, Haryana and modern day India Punjab. We had the most expensive diamond in the world the Kohinoor Heera. India’s Punjab alone produces 70% of India’s food today. We would have been one of the richest countries in the world if we Punjabis got our own nation after 1947. Doesn’t matter if you were Muslim, Hindu or Sikh if you were Punjabi we would live together just like we did for hundreds of years. Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah and the British Empire fucked us over so nicely. To those who say Punjab wouldn’t have lasted… You do know Punjab was it’s own nation before the British Empire came in? Idiots.
He didn’t hate Muslims or Hindus. He said if you’re a Hindu I want you to be a true Hindu, if you’re a Muslim a true Muslim and Sikh a true Sikh. In all his speeches he was promoting religion. Telling people not to forget where they came from whether they were Hindu Muslim or Sikh. Saying he hated Hindus or Muslims is stupid because he’s never said anything bad against Hindus or Muslims.
I never said he hated Muslims or Hindu neither did he ever say he hated them. It’s propaganda from the Indian Government so you’ll think he’s a terrorists. in reality they have no proof he was killing Hindus because he wasn’t.
There’s no proof that Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala was involved in those murders. As far as we know those could have been murders done by Pro-Congress goons who wanted to frame the Sikhs.
When people ask them why they attacked the Golden Temple they say Sant Ji was killing Hindus. When people ask them for proof they say, “people told us and people knew”.
Sant Jarnail Singh himself said he does hate Hindus or Muslims. He wanted a true Hindu stay a Hindu and Muslim stay a Muslim. You can find videos and quotes of him saying it online.
Sikhs have been protecting Hindus for centuries now. We protected them for the Mughals who tried to convert them and from Iranians and Afghans. There was a point around Raja Ranjit Singhs time when Hindu families would convert their oldest son to Sikhism so he could help the Khalsa Army fight against the Invaders.
It’s stupid to think that we would forget what our forefathers did and then attack Hindus ourselves.
This doesn’t make sense because Pakistan IS Punjab. When we say that Pakistan wants to be different, are we talking about our Muslim grandparents who were forced to live on the other side of the border? No. They are Punjabi, and they always will be just as Punjabi as we are.(via chaatrik)
He doesn’t mean the people of Pakistan but the government wants to be different. What he’s saying is the Indian Government and Pakistani Government is trying to destroy punjabi culture and the Language.
It’s so sad seeing that Gurdas Mann who was born into a Sikh family promote a Bakandi Baba. It’s sad seeing the youth of Punjab giving up Sikhi and following Bakandi Baba’s that call themselves Mast.
These Masts are people who claim to be one with god. They apparently do whatever they please and don’t care what the world is doing. The only thing they care about is connect with god. They don’t think before doing anything and they don’t have a explanation for why they do it. If they want to take of their close in the middle of the street, they’ll do and they say god man them do it. They’ll smoke like no tomorrow and god made them do it. They’ll drink a whole bottle of liquor and god made them do it. They are free in a sense or what we in the western world call hippies.
People like Gurdas Mann are huge supporters of Masts but why?
In my opinion a person who is actually connected with god had to find god with inside themselves first. A person who actually connected with god will respect their body because he or she knows god lives within them. They will treat their body like a shrine and try to keep it as clean and healthy as they can. They would respect their body because they know its a gift from god, So what makes people think Laddi Shah is connected with God? The guy smokes like no tomorrow, drinks and swears on stage.
Everyone here knows that smoking causes cancer and ruins your body so why does he smoke?
Most of his male followers are smokers as well. Why?
Because they say to themselves, if our Guru can smokes it’s probably not that bad for our body either. If our Guru drinks its okay for us to drink as well. If our Guru is being a dick on stage in Public its okay for us to be dicks to.
The youth of Punjab aren’t learning anything good from people like Laddi Shah so how come he’s considered one with god and Mast? Might as well go start praying to that homeless guy walking around with no cloths on and drinking/smoking all day.
What people like Gurdas Mann don’t realize he’s promoting drugs, alcohol and smoking because his fucking Guru himself is doing all that crap.
The funny part is Gurdas Mann is the next Guru for Laddi Shah followers. Like literally… he was crowned the next Guru of these Mast followers. I don’t even know what this knew religion thing is called. So people are going to be bowing down to Gurdas Mann like he’s a Guru.
What has this world come to?
Punjab is going down the drain.
Video of Laddi Shah:
A 40-year long civil war has been raging in the jungles of central and eastern India. It is one of the world’s largest armed conflicts but it remains largely ignored outside of India.
Caught in the crossfire of it are the Adivasis, who are believed to be India’s earliest inhabitants. A loose collection of tribes, it is estimated that there are about 84 million of these indigenous people, which is about eight per cent of the country’s population.
For generations, they have lived off farming and the spoils of the jungle in eastern India, but their way of life is under threat. Their land contains mineral deposits estimated to be worth trillions of dollars. Forests have been cleared and the Indian government has evacuated hundreds of villages to make room for steel plants and mineral refineries.
The risk of losing everything they have ever known has made many Adivasis fertile recruits for India’s Maoist rebels or Naxalites, who also call these forests home.
The Maoists’ fight with the Indian government began 50 years ago, just after India became independent. A loose collection of anti-government communist groups - that initially fought for land reform - they are said to be India’s biggest internal security threat. Over time, their focus has expanded to include more fundamental questions about how India is actually governed.
In their zeal for undermining the Indian government, Maoist fighters have torched construction equipment, bombed government schools and de-railed passenger trains, killing hundreds. In the name of state security, several activists who have supported the Maoists have been jailed and tortured. Innocent people have also been implicated on false charges. These are often intimidation tactics used by the government to discourage people from having any contact with the Maoists.
The uprising by Maoist fighters and its brutal suppression by the Indian government, has claimed more than 10,000 lives since 1980, and displaced 12 million people. Many of the victims are not even associated with either side. They are simply caught in the crossfire. And the violence is escalating as both sides mount offensive after counter-offensive.
Al Jazeera’s Imran Garda travelled to the Indian states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal to get a secret glimpse into the world of the Naxalites and to meet with rebel fighters as well as those victimised by this conflict.
